Details of itinerary
The Saint Francis town and the Roman Julia colony Assisi, small medioeval hamlet where the Italy’s patron Saint Francesco lived and laboured. First stop of the tour is Santa Maria degli Angeli to visit the hononymous Reinassance church, then the tour will continue through the visit of the majestic Basilica of Saint Francis, Piazza del Comune, Tempo della Minerva, Chiesa Nuova e the Saint Chiara Basilica. The tour will proceed with the beautiful Spello, called also “Colony Julia” in Roman age, you will discover the fantastic hamlet surrounded with medioeval walls and with the four Roman gates, the monumental entrances from the Roman times. Walking through amazing views and picturesque alleys, you will immerge yourselves in the historic and amazing atmosphere.
The charming city and one of the highest fall of Europe The second day of the tour is dedicated to the visit of Spoleto, one of the most charming city of Umbria with over 2000 years of art and culture. Then, the tour will proceed towards Terni, you will find out this amazing waterfalls set in a enchanting River park. Free afternoon to walk on the greeny paths and for unforgettable excursions.
The stone city The tour will end with Gubbio, founded by the Romans, it is a city of very antique origins which experienced a period of artistic and civic prosperity during the Italy of the Dukes and the Counts. Strolling through the medioeval alleys, you will be able to admire amazing landscapes.
