Tour in the Apennines of Tuscany and Emilia-Romagna

Arrival in hotel in Forlì-Cesena area. Briefing with the motorbike guides at the hotel about the tour and delivery of the Road Map. Dinner and overnight.

Departure towards the rolling hills of the Romagna hinterland and then enter the magical atmosphere of the Casentinesi Forests up to the Calla Pass from which we will begin to descend arriving in Poppi, a medieval village surrounded by walls. After free lunch, one of the most iconic passes in Italy awaits us: the Consuma, the scene of the first uphill motorcycle race in 1903. After exciting curves and hairpin bends, we will lap Florence to reach Montecatini Terme where, if time permits, a deserved relaxing swim in the pool awaits us. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

After breakfast at the hotel, we will arrive in Lucca for the free visit of the precious beauties of this important medieval center (on the top Piazza Anfiteatro and renaissance walls). Hop back on your motorbikes to go towards Apuan Alps for a great tasting lunch in Colonnata, a small village of miners famous all over the world for the Lardo di Colonnata IGP and marble caves, the “white gold”. Back in the saddle, after crossing the Passo del Vestito, we will admire the fabulous nature of Garfagnana, remained authentic along time. A treasure surrounded by the Apuan Alps and the Apennine and crossed by the Serchio river that we will skirt till the postcard of Garfagnana, the Devil’s Bridge that will catch our eyes for its aspect and his legend. Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Departure after breakfast at the hotel towards Pistoia. A few kilometers and we will meet one of the last Campari Fountain in Italy: one of the first examples of advertisement sculpture. After crossing the Passo dell’Oppio we will have the opportunity to live an adrenalitic experience on the suspension bridge of the Ferriere inserted in the Guinness World Records. Stop in Fiumalbo, beautiful and particular village where typical medieval atmospheres are still alive thanks to cobblestone streets, slate roofs and stone houses. After turning around the Monte Cimone we will stop for free lunch in Lizzano in Belvedere. In the afternoon you will visit the Rocchetta Mattei, a real castle with fairytale look and unique and eclectic style, with a mistirous story related to the figure of Count Cesare Mattei. Once finished the visit, you will resume the road to the valley to reach the hotel. Goodbye night in Montecatini Alto. A few steps, the finucolar and way up in the delicious mediaval village with small street to discover and a favoulos view on the Valdinievole, the real centre of the village. A special dinner with the Tuscan typicality. Overnight at hotel.
