The tour will start arriving in Città di Castello, guided visit of the characteristic town centre: strolling in the narrow alleys, you will find out where Raphael, when he was only sixteen years old, set up his first workshop. The tour will proceed by visiting Perugia , the town which boasts of a rich artistic and cultural heritage: here the artist carried out the apprenticeship skillfully with the Maestro Perugino. 2° Day – Cagli and Urbino:
Discovering the origins of the ‘Genius’
Breakfast in hotel and transfer to Cagli, characteristic village located in the heart of Metauro Valley. Between the alleys you will discover how the hamlet is connectred to Raphael’s father: Giovanni Santi.
Then, you will reach Urbino and will visit the “ideal town” of the italian Reinassance: par excellence, Urbino was the artistic centre of this epoc, which cultural and artistic fervor had a bearing on the genius pictorial style. Walking in the narrow alleys, you will discover the places where he was born and where he was raised. Typical lunch in restaurant.
Transfer to the hotel in Fano, dinner and overnight.
3rd Day – Fano and Orciano
Towns and hamlets in the sign of Raphael
Breakfast in hotel and guided visit of Fano: town with a particular historic and cultural heritage.
Strolling between squares and churches, you will have the chance to discover a characteristic work by Perugino, allegedly it was realized also by a young Raphael .
Transfer to Orciano for typical lunch in restaurant.
The tour will proceed by visiting the small and peculiar hamlet, here you will find a church front door, which origins are related to the art of the reainassance genius. End of Services.
