Discover the wine excellences of Le Marche with a delegate of Slow Wine
1st day: The marveilleus landscapes of Natural Park of Mount Conero. The “Rosso Conero” red wine.
Arrive at the National Park of Mount Conero and discover its delighful wine “Rosso Conero”, stop at a wine producer for a lunch with a reach tasting of local products. Afterwards learn about the wine making process. Proceed with the tour of Parco del Monte Conero and its beautiful villages and hamlets. Arrive at Sirolo, which is called “the pearl of Conero”, thanks to its attractive panoramic position, the sea view, the typical alleys. Then down to Numana, one of the most famous seaside resort of the Adriatic coast. Accomodation at the hotel, dinner and overnight.
2nd day: Morro d’Alba and its “Lacrima”. Senigallia and its noble palaces
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Morro d’Alba, hamlet surrounded by fifteenth-century walls, this area is famous for the production of the red wine “Lacrima di Morro d’Alba”. At a local wine cellar a delegate of Slow Food Marche will tell about the philosophy of the association, the group will explore the wine culture and history of Le Marche, and finally taste the delicious nectar. A Slow wine guide will be given to the participants. Lunch at a local restaurant. In the afternoon transfer to Senigallia, a cozy town on the Adriatic Sea Coast, famous for its ” velvet” beach, with its 13 kilometers of fine sand and the impressive Rotonda a Mare. To see: Rocca Roveresca, fifteenth century military architecture, Palazzo del Duca, Chiesa della Croce, Palazzo Mastai. At the end of the tour enjoy a tasty appetizer with cured meet, local cheeses and “Focaccia” special home-made bread paired with a glass of wine. Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.
3rd day: The Hellenic origin of Ancona. “I Moscioli” of Portonovo, delicious delicacies of the Adriatic Sea.
Breakfast at the hotel. Arrive at Ancona and start the tour of this city rich in history: the Cathedral of San Ciriaco, Piazza del Plebiscito, the romanic Church of Santa Maria della Piazza, the Arch of Trajan, the Mole Vanvitelliana, a former pentagonal fortress, built by Vanvitelli. Proceed towards Portonovo and meet the local fishermen, they preserve the ancient fishing-tradition of Moscioli, a type of wild mussel from Portonovo, protected by Slow Food Association. Taste these delicious delicacies of the Adriatic Sea with a light lunch. End of services.
