On the 11th of June 2019 has been inaugurated the National Rossini Museum, the expositions shows the life and greatness of Gioachino Rossini, and the modernity of the operas of the illustrious citizen of Pesaro, where he was born on February 29th 1792.
The guests will discover the Rossinian world through a fascinating journey, divided into ten rooms set from time to time in the historical context, among places and characters of Rossini’s world, following the life of the composer and the boundless production of his career.
The mirrors hall it is kept the Playel piano that belonged to Rossini, the piano has been restored and it can be played in special events, meetings, conferences and concerts. The visit continue through a video area where are projected important masterpieces such as the Barber of Seville, Cinderella and La gazza ladra. The museum also hosts events and temporary exhibitions dedicated to the history of music and sound.
The Rossini National Museum is located in the noble floor of Palazzo Montani Antaldi, in the heart of the historic city center of Pesaro, Rossinian itineray also includes the Rossini Theater, Casa Rossini, Palazzo Mosca – Civic Museums, the Rossini Temple, Palazzo Olivieri and the Library of Rossini Foundation (located on the ground floor of the building) which earned to Pesaro the recognition of the Unesco City of Music.
